All successful grant applicants are expected to submit a Grants Report Form no later than 6 months after the end of the grant. Please note, future grants will not be awarded if no Grants Report Form has been received.

To support attendance at international conferences and meetings, including those held in the UK.

Do not apply for funds to attend ICN 2026 (Nagoya, Japan) using this grant.

Undergraduate Student Laboratory Experience Grant

To provide some financial support for a student who undertakes a vacation lab project

The host supervisor should apply on behalf of the student that they consider to be suitable for a project in their lab. The host supervisor must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Students can be of any nationality.

Undergraduate students or students immediately after graduation or prior to starting MSc or PhD studies are eligible

To support focussed, subject specific, scientifically valuable meetings that might otherwise have difficulty covering their costs, or where additional support would facilitate wider community involvement e.g. through provision of ECR travel grants.
