All successful grant applicants are expected to submit a Grants Report Form no later than 6 months after the end of the grant. Please note, future grants will not be awarded if no Grants Report Form has been received.

Conference Travel Fund To support attendance at the ICN 2022 in Glasgow

All members, including academic staff, postdoctoral research fellows and post- and undergraduate students.

Must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Undergraduate Student Laboratory Experience Grant

To provide some financial support for a student who undertakes a vacation lab project

The host supervisor should apply on behalf of the student that they consider to be suitable for a project in their lab. The host supervisor must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Students can be of any nationality.

Undergraduate students or students immediately after graduation or prior to starting MSc or PhD studies are eligible

Project Support Grant

To provide support for consumables/other research costs to enable postdoctoral scientists or students to carry out the best possible neuroendocrine research project Postdoctoral researchers and students who are full  members and have been members of the BSN for at least 6 months £7,000

Academic Support Fund To support new academic staff with research funding /or established staff with no current research funding

Tenured academic staff.

New academic staff within 10 years of obtaining their PhD, who have less than £100K in funding.

Or established staff with no current research funding.

Full member of the BSN for at least 6 months

Outreach and Public Engagement Grant To organise public engagement activities

Applicants must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Or a non-member public engagement professional.

Non-member public engagement professionals must contact the Society before submitting an application.

Non-member public engagement professionals must be partnered with a Society member who will assist the development and/or delivery of the activity

BSN Symposium Support Fund To support and promote symposia that promote aspects of neuroendocrinology at national or international conferences

Applicants must have been a member of the BSN for at least 6 months.

Applications must be made in advance: retrospective applications will not be considered.

JNE Symposium Support Fund To support focussed, subject specific, scientifically valuable meetings that might otherwise have difficulty covering their costs, or where additional support would facilitate wider community involvement e.g. through provision of ECR travel grants.
