Journal of Neuroendocrinology Impact Factor increases to 5
The BSN is proud to announce that the Impact Factor of the Journal of Neuroendocrinology (JNE) has increased yet again, from 4.1 to 5, as announced by Clarivate today. This moves JNE up to 48th position in the Endocrinology and Metabolism category and 69th in neuroscience – both quartile 1. JNE is now well ahead of Neuroendocrinology (2.4), Journal of Neuroscience (4.3), and Endocrinology (3.8). The Citescore has also increased, to 9.
This is a testament to the outstanding work of editors present and past: Professor Wouter de Herder (Translational and Clinical Editor-in-Chief from 2025), Professor Mike Lehman (Fundamental and Mechanistic Editor-in-Chief from 2024), Professor Julian Mercer (FMN Editor-in-Chief to 2023) and Professor Bob Millar (Translational and Clinical Editor-in-Chief from 2021 to 2024, and responsible for JNE’s expansion into the clinical and translational field). The efforts of these outstanding scientists, together with their editorial teams, have combined to put JNE into this stellar position in the field. As a journal owned by the academic community, and run by it and for it, JNE’s success also enables the BSN to do more to support the next generation of neuroendocrinologists.
The Committee of the BSN and the Editors-in-Chief would like to extend their sincere thanks to all the editors, authors and reviewers who have made this possible, as well as to the societies, associations, and meeting organisers who have worked alongside us over the years.
We look forward to building further on this success and trust we can count on your continued support.
The BSN Committee
