CEO Sue Thorn to retire from the British Society for Neuroendocrinology
The BSN will shortly be entering a new era as Sue Thorn, our ‘virtual CEO’ for the last 12 years, leaves us in September to have more time for personal activities.
The last 12 years have seen significant challenges and changes for the BSN and our journal, JNE. Sue has been a major reason for our success over that period, and we would like to take this opportunity to thank Sue for her tireless efforts over that time on behalf of our neuroendocrine community.
The BSN will shortly be advertising for a part-time, employed CEO. Given the highly successful position that the BSN and JNE are in, we are optimistic about finding a suitably experienced person to take us forward over the coming years.
We hope that the successful candidate will be able to join us in late spring/early summer, and Sue aims to stand down fully at the BSN 35 dinner in Manchester on 2 September 2026.
Best regards,
The British Society for Neuroendocrinology
