BSN sponsors teaching of Biosciences
The BSN is pleased to announce that it has agreed to act as a Principal Sponsor for the 'Practical Biology' website. This new website provides all teachers of biology with a wide range of experiments to illustrate concepts or processes, as starting points for practical investigation.
It also enables the sharing of skills and experience of making experiments work in the classroom. This initiative reflects the Society's commitment to the promotion of education in the biosciences and in neuroendocrinology in particular.
Understanding Animal Research
ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines
BSN endorses the ARRIVE guidelines. ARRIVE (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) guidelines were developed as part of an NC3Rs initiative to improve the design and reporting of biomedical research using animals and were published in the online journal PLoS Biology in June 2010. The ARRIVE guidelines are currently endorsed by almost 200 journals (the full list can be found on the website), major funding bodies and a growing list of learned societies.
