The BSN is continuing its summer webinar series run by and for early career researchers into 2021. This series began in 2020 in response to the global lockdowns imposed to curb the COVID-19 pandemic to allow ECRs to stay up to date with developments in neuroendocrinology and network with other researchers.

Call for abstracts - deadline extended to 21 July 2021

Submit your abstract to ECRHub@neuroendo.org.uk by midnight BST, Thursday 21 July 2021 to be considered for a talk.

Talks will be recorded and made available to members online after the event, so please keep this in mind when considering whether to present sensitive data. If we receive more submissions than can fit in the webinar, those who don’t present will have the option to carry over their submission for the next webinars. We look forward to receiving your submission, and please do share this email with the students and postdocs in your network.

This webinar will be hosted by Dr Justine Fam, University of South Wales, Australia, and Dr Kristina Smiley, University of Otago, New Zealand. Justine studies the role of oxytocin in learning and memory. Her work examines the effects and mechanisms of action of oxytocin on stimulus processing. Kristina studies the effects of prolactin on the neural circuits underlying paternal care behaviours.  The full programme will be announced late July 2021.

Registration fee

All webinars and recordings are free to watch for BSN members. If you’re not a member yet, there’s no better time to join our supportive member community and let us help foster your professional development, with membership only £10 annually for students, and £30 for postdocs.  Although these events have been setup with ECRs in mind, all members are of course very welcome to attend.
